George was more than a co-founder — he was the heart, the energy, and the guiding force behind everything we built. From early mornings and long festival days to moments of laughter, challenge, and pride when the gyro began to spin, George poured his soul into this business. His drive, sacrifice, and determination were rooted in love, a desire to build something meaningful, lasting, and filled with purpose.
His love for food was never just about cooking — it was about connection. Bringing people together through culture, tradition, and shared meals. Whether family, friends, or strangers at a festival window, everyone was welcomed with warmth, generosity, and a genuine smile. In every plate served lived his belief in togetherness, pride, and the importance of showing up for others. Values he hoped to pass on to his boys.
Losing George has left a space that can never be filled. Continuing without him has been one of the hardest journeys we have faced. Every event, every service, every gyro turning reminds us of his presence and his absence. But it also reminds us of why we keep going.

At the heart of it all was his mum — whose endless preparation, love, and care formed the foundation of the food we serve. Her quiet strength, dedication, and deep respect for tradition shaped Cypriot Street Grill from the very beginning.
Our staff, many of whom became family, showed loyalty, resilience, and heart through every stage of the journey. Alongside the support of family and friends, they continue to carry George’s vision forward with pride, respect, and purpose.
